The “People” project concerns the development of smart cities through the rapid implementation, development, and adoption of innovative services based on the Internet in order to address the main challenges of developed cities. The goal is to improve the quality of life in cities, which will be achieved within the framework of the program through careful planning and the application of open innovation methods and methodologies according to citizens’ needs. For these purposes, four smart and open pilot urban ecosystems (Smart Open Urban Innovation Ecosystems) were created to make cities smart and sustainable, using ICT services to improve citizens’ everyday life in their cities.
The general objective of the project is to create a mechanism that covers most of the Southeastern Europe region, enabling the exchange and dissemination of key technologies and strengthening the creation of supply chains between research and development organizations and the business sector. The project follows an integrated approach to strengthen links between publicly or privately funded university R&D programs, industries, and through the participation of experts for the evaluation and exploitation of R&D results.
mEducator is a European Union funded project that aims to identify best practices for the reuse and sharing of medical educational content based on educational standards and certified shared technology.
