The event will be held in Centre for Dissemination of Research Results of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki on Friday, April 6, at 17:00. (map)
The session will be opened by Kaitlyn Braybrook, OKFN local groups’ coordinator who will present OKFN’s vision, followed by Dr. Charalampos Bratsas who will present the current situation in Greek Open Data and the OKFN:Greece challenges. Professor I. Antoniou will, afterwards, speak about the power of openness and Professor G. Metakides will suggest Open Data Infrastructures that can foster innovation. Professor Spirakis will follow with Open Data and Evolutionary Games and Dr. Sren Auer will talk about LOD challenges and the LOD2 project results. Marinos Papadopoulos will discuss about licensing Open Data and Creative Commons and Panagiotis Bamidis will present the case of the mEducator project. Finally, Konstantinos Stampoulis will present the initiative to create the Greek Wikimedia Foundation.The event will close with discussion and wine reception.
